I've never heard of anyone boring-out a 955 or 1050. It's probably because there's not a whole lot of metal between the cylinders already. The distance between bore centers has remained fixed since the old 885 motor was developed. When Triumph made the 955, they went from a 76mm bore to a 79mm bore as that was probably as far as they could take it and still maintain strength and proper cooling of the cylinders. By stroking the 955 to make the 1050, Triumph may have indicated their conclusion about the issue. Perhaps the next generation liter-class triple will have the cylinders spread apart a few more millimeters to allow larger displacements.

Thinking a little more about this a little more, I didn't mean to imply that it's not possible to bore out the cylinders, just that there might be some downside to it considering the tight spacing of the bores. For that matter, there might be some engine builders out there that have addressed the potential problems and I just don't know about them and their work.
