Thinking about getting the Mad Dr. Fender Eliminator. I see a few of you cats have them already, so I was wondering How tough is the installation? Do you have to do any excessive cutting and wiring? If that's the case I'll just go with the integrated brake/sig light.

I had to have my son-in-law come over and wire it for me. It is a bit complicated but may be improved (I have an early model Dr.) I found the signals to be somewhat fragile-broke the stops on the rt. side signal but glued it in positon and all is OK.

the under seat treatment (replaces fender) is cool and I like the way it looks. Works fine-all in all I would buy another one.

I just bought one a month ago and it was really easy to put on. The only tough part was getting one of the old screws off (it was stuck).

You don't need any special tools and it looks awesome! Highly recommended!

It was one of the first upgrades I did to speedy...love it...looks great and I've never had a problem with it. The install can be a bit tricky and there is some wiring involved. The wiring schematic provided wasn't the greatest so you have to be at least a little comfortable with troubleshooting and if you want to do it right also with soldering, shrinkwraping, etc.

Mad Dr. looks cheap kinda of cheap for $240. I just put this kit a couple of weeks ago w/a pair of Rizoma Zero's and Mivv carbon fiber low mount from PjsParts.

The under tray and tag plate are powder coated aluminum, the fit is top nothch, wiring couldn't be easier. It does have to come from Germany, but the guy is quick to respond to emails. Once he got my Paypal payment he put it in the mail and it was at my door in about a week.

Tail Kit

That kit looks pretty nice, but it doesn't mention an option for an american tag.

The license plate bracket does not have any pre drilled mounting holes. But that's easy enough to do. I used a cordless drill and 1/4" bit, took all of 5 minutes. Those are the only holes you have to drill. It took longer to take off all the stock plastic junk then it did to mount the new kit.

Been happy with mine. Looks cool! Install was pretty easy, but the wiring was a little bit of a challenge!

My mad dr gets me mad. Not so bright @ night, and forget about during the day. Looks cheap and couldn't use the quick release connectors it came cause they were cracked. Had to hard wire everything in, not hard, but mine had no english instructions making it take a little longer. Had to re-paint the underseat tray, the finish just sucked. I would take it off, but have no money to replace it with somrthing better. AARRGGG
