It takes a boat load of effort and money to bring a product like this to bear. But at $240, I would expect far more in the quality department. I've seen two examples of this eliminator and both had a brittle appearance.

To piggy-back on T-rat's comment, I think some of these products become so minimal that safety is seriously compromised. Bottom line for me: I'd rather be conspicuous rather than having a surgeon extract someone's front bumper out of my arse in the ER. To each his own.

Oh, and I almost forgot to mention, I do think the Mad Doctor Eliminator is one of the best looking products available. Tough decisions on what to compromise...

What was the final quote on your kit? It looks pretty tight? Did you have to add the rear signals? What does the kit contain?

Mad Dr. looks cheap kinda of cheap for $240. I just put this kit a couple of weeks ago w/a pair of Rizoma Zero's and Mivv carbon fiber low mount from PjsParts.

The under tray and tag plate are powder coated aluminum, the fit is top nothch, wiring couldn't be easier. It does have to come from Germany, but the guy is quick to respond to emails. Once he got my Paypal payment he put it in the mail and it was at my door in about a week.

Tail Kit

With Shipping it wsa like $280.00 USD. I did have to purchase signals on top of that.

The kit itself comes with a new underseat tray, license plate bracket, new tail light w/built in tag light, and all the hardware needed to mount it. You do end up using some of the original screws/bolts, but the extras needed to mount the kit are included.

Alright, so are the two of you suggesting I run through more red traffic lights? Because that's really the biggest concern here -- how conspicuous a rider is from the rear when stopped. Tons of riders are hit from the rear every year at traffic lights. I think most of that can be attributed to complacent drivers who don't even see the intersection in the first place. So perhaps you're right! Looks like I need THIS
