I am debating between just using a backpack, or going with a tank bag and the tank slapper protector

My favorite looking backpack is: The SecurePack from Mobile Edge

Cortech seems to have nice tank bags. Bought one over the weekend, then returned it. Got nervous about tank scratches. And the wife said it looked stupid. Now I see the thread on the tank slapper (just ordered the tank kit) and see they also offer a tank top kit for tank baggers....

Not sure which way to go.

I like to carry some stuff, but don't want to leave it sitting on my bike unattended. The Cortech bag I tried was pretty easy to disconnect and carry with you. Backpack would be even easier, although I've never ridden with a backpack.

I like the luggage locker because it's locked to the gas gap so you know it's not going to walk away on you.

I bought a Boblbe Megalopolis Aero. I have all kinds of other backpacks and messenger bags and I like this the best. I have been using it everyday since I got my S3 and it is an excellent backpack. The other fabric packs I have tend to shift around a lot and tend to flutter at speed even when properly adjusted. The hard shell stays put and is extremely comfortable (even if it does look like a jet pack )

Axio also makes a nice hardshell, but the Meg Aero is a TUV: certified back protector when you use the waist belt.

Edit: I was able to get mine in white to match my bike by ordering directly from Boblbe USA.

I use a tourmaster tank bag that I adapted to fit on the back of the seat. I lock the zippers together with those luggage padlocks, and have it set so you have to take the seat off to remove the bag. (first bag was taken  )

I'm using the 15 liter TRIUMPH tank bag and have been happy with it.

The bra covers the entire tank, which some people like and others do not. At first I thought I wouldn't like it but you know what.
I like the fact people keep asking me "what bike is that", I like stealth....

I'm not a back pack guy, could never get used to it on any bike or sled....

i used to just carry my back pack but, i have a white icon jacket and the straps would stain the leather. so now i have a chase-harper 35 liter tank bag. it installs easily and is secure when full. it's a lot easier to deal with than a heavy back pack. :-D
