I'll send them to you tomorrow. ( if I remember)
You can see a 1050 on metricmotorcycles.com under articles.
the 955 I believe was about 5 or so hp down .

Andy may be referring to my 955i here. It developed @ 95 rwhp on his dyno. That may sound very low, but something to keep in mind is that Andy has an eddy-current dynamometer rather than a brake (Dynojet-type) dyno, so his numbers are not inflated in any way. Whatever the numbers are, my '04 runs as strong or stronger than any other 955i that I've ridden.

I guess they don't compare to the R1 motor? I would really love to use a Triumph motor though. Its more of a power to weight thing, maybe I can use a rocket motor.

Keep in mind that is a Factorypro dyno, NOT dynojet. Dynojet inflates their numbers by a factor of 1.15-1.3. So that 95hp would be around 110ish hp on a dynojet.

My 955i got 113hp and 69ft lbs on the last dynojet I was on and about the same as Scratch on Metric's Factorypro dyno.

My 2003 Triple owners manual claims:

118HP (120 PS) @ 9100 rpm
73.7 lb/ft (100 Nm) @ 5100 rpm

I assume these are "crank" #'s.

Sorry I can't give you actual #'s. I have never had my bike on a dyno.

No, it doesn't compare to a R1 motor at all! :hammer: What kind of question is that? Whatever 'project' yer work'n on, if you didn't know that, sounds like one helluva project. :hammer: :-D

But if you wanna torque monster, git ya a 1050 motor. :-D

Its a locost(Lotus) 7. Should weigh in about 1,000lbs, and Tq is the most important factor. Several guys are using R1 motors for several reasons. My future wife isn't keen on hoping on the back of the bike, so I want a four wheel motorcycle. Eventually I might turbo it, but I think I will try to find a salvaged 1050 to start it off.
