Transmission Woes

Got a problem with my 1995 900 speed triple. The shift forks in the tranny are going. Getting stuck between gears and trying to jump into gear at neutral. I found out that the stock shift forks are aluminum. Does anyone know where I could get some heavier shift forks, possibly stainless steel or somthing of the like. I found a man that said he would look at them and could possibly machine some for me, but the dealer would not install those. I need some help. Thanks.

just a follow up. Curious if anyone has heard of this/ had this problem other than me. Just seems alittle weird for me to buy a bike and have the tranny start going 1000 miles after i bought it. seems weird also to put aluminum shift forks in a very torque heavy bike. i kno w its a 1995 and all but i would think that this would be a common issue if all the s3's had aluminum shift forks. IDK maybe i'm just ranting.

you might try the T3 forum with this question. I agree. With the amount of over engineering of these particular motors, why go with something wimpy like aluminum in the tranny. :???:
