This is the bike my friend just purchased!
It's a custom from http://www.russellmarlowe.com/ The bike has the best of everthing. I love that nothing you don't need to see is seen, i.e. cables, wires, and ugly mechanical stuff.
I know there are some here that hate this style bike, but I just wanted to share what $60,000 can buy these days.
I would really love to go for a ride on his new bike, but I don't know what I would do if I dropped it or bird crapped on it!
By the way I think its funny that he bought his first bike last year which was a used 1980 Honda CX 500. Nice upgrade!

You know,,,these kind of bikes,,,the customs,,,,well,,,they are cool,,,,for what they are made for,,,,but, I ride a bike so that i can get the thrill of something that goes fast,,,and can handle the turns,,,maybe when I have enough money to have all the bikes that I want that are fast and can turn,,,I would get something that can cruise,,,,but not for 60 grand!!!

It is no doubt a beautiful piece of Art I mean motorcycle. These customs can sure be beautiful to look at but thats about all they are good for usually. There is a reason most of these custom builders only sell a couple bikes a year and charge a boat load, its because to develop a truly durable motorcycle you have to spend millions on R & D such as the big manufactures. I have a couple friends who have them anywhere from 30K up to 50K. Can't count how many times I've heard the story "its in the shop again." The best part is they always have an excuse as to why. Very unreliable and not much for comfort or handling. They do look good going in a straight line for about a 10 mile round trip excursion though........but the great thing about this sport is to each his own......... :-D

Pretty butt jewelry but???????????? Maybe some day. I prefer less stretch in the backbone. I like a little something up in front of me with some drag bars. Congrats.

Ghey.
For 60k you could buy a Desmodicci RR Ducati. Then I'd buy a RocketIII for cruising.

Nice status symbol, I guess, but I'd sell it and buy something functional.

It probably depreciated at least $25 grand when it rolled out the shop door. No selling her now... your buddies in it for the long haul (which will be pretty uncomfortable on a bike like that).

Like most riders who come from a sporting background, I really have no use for custom cruisers. However, I cannot help buy appreciate the amount of work that goes into them. Yes, they are overpriced and not functional, but I second "to each his own." Almost all the guys I work with are Harley riders, and I get along with them fine. We rib each other now and then, but other than that we have an understanding that each person is different and so are the bikes they ride.
