There are way too many good used bikes to choose from - most of which I haven't ridden - to drop $60K on just one bike. I'm not that faithful, except to my wife of course. :-D

More power to him for having 60K to spend on a barhopper.

I would spend that 60K on an R1200RT, Rocket III, Monster S4RS and use the change to insure the herd.

Beautiful body, flawless paint, monster motor....but it can't turn. Forget the twisties. Even on-ramps are a challenge. My buddy had a sick looking Bourget.chopper. He loved it for a few weeks. Then he got a weight belt to support his back. By the end of the summer he sold it to hot-shot in Arizona. Nevertheless he's back on a MadMax.

Production art at best. There are way too many people doing exactly the same thing for me to call modern choppers art. Unless it is a one-off that is obviously different (perhaps a sportbike motor in a cruiser), its just the same old overstretched and polished ***** and its more about parking lot show than riding.

I'm getting a 1098 to get the best of both worlds. The Speed Triple will not be going anywhere either. It'll be with me for a looong time.
