I use Triumph jeans which look like denim but I think are cordura. They have a waterproof membrane ans Knox knee armmour. Pretty good but I still prefer the security of leathers for serious riding. I think Draggin' Jeans and Hood both make more protective jeans using kevlar.

Draggin and Hood are not waterproof, which is why I prefer the Triumph ones. But yes, for "serious" riding I always go for leathers.

I ride a Draggin around the house. They fit me perfect, and with the Kevlar inlay they should be better than a regular Levis.....

Although I must admit, that I have not yet had the oportunity to test them buy sliding over the road....I sure hope I will never need this Kevlar stuff.

On longer rides and tours I think the pants with real protectors are the safer choise.

By the way - my dealer told me that there is a Draggin model in which you can put plastic protectors into....Has anyone tried them?

I went with the Icon Anthem jeans...not too bad, not as protective as leathers obviously but better than jeans for sure. I find that they give me some confidence because I know if something goes wrong I have more than just 501's between me and the boulevard. Cheap buy too.

I wear the Joe Rocket Stage 1 jeans most of the time and full leathers when sport riding or at the track.
