I just bought an '05 Speed III, and at 6'5", I am having a hard time finding riding jacket that fits. Any ideas?

I've seen the Tall jackets from Tour Master, but online they look a bit cheap. Suggestions?

Is there a custom apparel shop worth checking out? I live in NYC.

Might be hard to find in the U.S but Swedish Jofama/Halvarssons has sizes suitable for Vikings :hihi:

They have up to 64 Eur Size. I am 190 cm and 100 kg and a 58 is a loose fit.
I do think you can get f.i a 158 instead of 58 which means extra tall

Not sure what your available funds are, but you can get custom fitted for a Vanson...

I'm only 6'2", but with a slightly long torso. I have a Firstgear Kilimanjaro. Good coverage, good bang for the buck. It has more of a adventure/touring look though.

What you probably need is a 3/4 jacket. i've always had a soft spot for the old Bellstaff Trialmaster's. They are also available in modern materials:

I'm 6'4" and have tried the Cortex cordura jacket, it's well made but some of the taller sizes seem to also assume that you are also fat. I've had some luck with Teknic gear, it's also very well made stuff. I have a prior generation 'interstate' jacket that is amazing for winter and wet weather riding. Also their 'Monsoon' and ' Sprint II' cordura pants are stellar. They tend to be made slightly oversized though ..Well, they are 'overpants' after all.

I've found motorcycle gear trickier to figure out than almost anything if you compare between manufacterers. Icon 4XL just fit me right, Joe Rocket 4XL's completely dwarf me. Nothing AlpineStars makes ever fits me, etc..I've had an easier time fitting a tuxedo.

If you ever have a choice or convienience, go to a store and try the gear on even if you wish to buy online because of cost savings or whatever, especially when you are trying a manufacterer from who you dont own gear from.

I'm a fan of Belstaff jackets also, I saw a Belstaff booth at Daytona bike week, I was very surprised and impressed with the quality.

Since I have a KTM, I got this one in orange... Adventure jacket

I have a Cortech Perforated leather and love it. I should have got the tall but did not know it existed. Quality is top notch on their leather stuff, I can't vouch for the textile jackets. Dollar for dollar I think it is a great jacket, less then 200.00 bucks for a jacket I can wear from 50 degrees to Utah's 105 degree days. I am going to buy the perforated Cortech Apex pants for track days. I would recommend them to anyone.

At 6'5" as well I know what you mean. I decided to order a Ultra II Cordura Jacket from cycleport I read good things about them and you give them your measurements so it has a custom fit. The downside is that it takes several weeks to get it. Mine should be here in about 2 weeks and then I can let you know more.
