Just picked up an '07 TIger and there's many reporting issues with the trip computer dropping to zero miles left and zero bars on the gage on restart when there was 60 miles and 2 bars when it was shut down?? Is this also happening on S3s??

No as we have an earlier version of the computer/display that doesn't have a fuel gauge only the reserve light. I saw the Tiger display the other day, nice they should have done that on the S3.

Sounds like a power failure. Does this bike have a NiCd battery to keep the computer powered when the ignition is off? I know a lot of cars have this, as a backup in case the battery is disconnected/dead. If your Tiger has this, perhaps the battery is bad, or the little isolater on the battery wasn't removed on setup.

Nah, not a reset or anything like that.. I just experianced this today... Everything works great until the fuel light comes on while you're riding and the "Miles till empty" display comes up on the display.. All goes well and it counts down until you turn off the ignition and let it set for a couple of minutes.. When you restart the bike, the "Miles till empty" is "0" and the fuel gage shows NO bars..
Again, it's not a real problem, but I remember the Speed Triples had the trip computer and I was wondering if this has happened to them too??

Do the '07 Triples have a fuel gauge & miles till empty function on the clocks? This might be a Tiger-only function.

My '05 1050 only has a fuel reserve light. No fuel miles left counter or bars. Only trip counters + miles-since-last-fillup.

The S3 07 computer is the same as the 05.

Ok, my bad...
I thought the newer S3s had a trip computer of sorts... Always though it was strange that it didn't have a fuel gage but had a trip computer, shift lights and other geegaws!! I guess it wasn't so odd after all!! I was surprised when I lit the Tiger up for the first time and there was a fuel gage...
Thanx!

Other Motorcycle: 97 Bandit 600. Sold & missed.
My 05S3 had the instrumentation replaced under warranty.
Every once in a while everything except the master odometer would reset.

hmmm... Let's put on a contest to see who has the most warranty-worked-on triple here? :hammer:

I'll tell ya what, Triumph seems to have the least issues of any bike out there!!! Reading through these and other forums, the Triumph issues appear to be isolated incidents and not design defects (on the whole)... I've never been a "brand whore" but Triumph must be doing something right!!
