Ok,,,I just bought myself some bar end mirrors, and to use them I need to take off the bar end weights,,,is there a reason that I wouldn't want to do this?, do they have a purpose other than crash protection??

Thanks

Bar end weights can cut down on handlebar vibration. By adding weight to the end of the bar, they increase the inertia required to vibrate the bar, hence cutting down the vibrations.

The stock weights hardly do anything, being so light. Mirrors will do it better. Personally, my bar end mirrors clamp onto bar end s, so I get both. Of course, they are both aluminum, so they are not as heavy as they could be, like the Throttlemeister, for example.
