Looking for a "high" exhaust.. preferibly carbon or anything but shiny stainless. I'd love a dual high like on the new bikes but a single side is fine. I really want to show off the single sided swingarm.

Any reccos? Stayintune is nice but doesn't have anything 509 specific. Others I've seen for 509 are not "high and tight"

Yes - all 97-01 exhaust fitment is same - T509, 955 S3 & T595 & 955 Daytona - only the headers are different, but not at the transition connection to the mid-pipe.
However 02+ 955i's - whether Daytona or S3 (which are different to each other also) will NOT fit.

One that tucks right up by the bodywork is the Blueflame - that is what I have coming for my Daytona motor.
Wolf/Trident are popular but their 'high' level is more a mid-level.
Check out pics to see how these work for you.

I had 2 brothers before (per the pic below in my sig) which I would consider a "mid" level - 2BR is no longer providing a high-level (or that that they previously called a "high" level) for the 97-01 - too bad because their 02+ is high & tight!

If thats the case, I have a used Daytona CF high mount TOR for sale cheap. You'd just need to modify the mid-pipe to fit your bike.

Is that from an 02+?
Caution that the mid-pipe is QUITE different - the connector point is much further forward on the 97-01, is much smaller diameter & an internal fit and is a spring connector fitment; the 02+ Daytona mid-pipe is MUCH larger diameter, shorter, has no provisions for the spring clamps, is an external fit over the header pipe & uses a clamp.

Looked on the UK and US BlueFlame sites and I see the 595 Exhausts but none show pipes, just cans. I would think you'd need the pipe from the mid to the can to change the placement, yes?

Which BF did you get? Are all "high" mount?

The Blueflame do come with the mid-pipe as well (pretty much all exhausts do) - the cans tend to be the same for all bikes & only the mid-pipe & hangers are custom for each application.

They come in all the possible combinations of shapes (round, oval or tri) as well as finishes (SS, plain Ti, Polished Ti, scorched Ti or Carbon) and then one or two ports & finally low or high level mid-pipe!

There is a single US distrubutor - good guy. http://www.blueflameusa.com/

I need to find some pics for you - there are a few on here, either Daytonas or S3's.

I'm going with a High mount Oval, dual port, scorched Ti!
:-D

Here's a nice pic on an 02+ S3 - SS version - mine will look like this but in scorched Ti

(This one won't allow direct embedded images)

Same again in Carbon ....

Nice.. so I am assuming from your answer that they do come with the appropriate pipes included with the exaust?

Does mounting it high like that make the rear pegs totally unusuable for the pillion? Looks like the pass leg would be resting on the can.

Got a call in to Bryan at BF USA ... I like the CF or plain polished one. Wondering if you can get it without the BF label on it. The ones on my Audi exhaust were just stickers.. so maybe this one can be removed too.
