I Finally got a 44 tooth sprocket-I had ordered three of these things and finally somebody sent me one. It is black, hardened aluminum and is drilled out real cool.
It took about 20 min to put it on cuz I was doing some cleaning (OC) around the rear wheel. I have a 17 on the front! Tomorrow I hope i will test as I am a bit under the weather right now-hope I can keep the front end on the tarmac. I will prob take the17 off and go back to 18 stock thinking that is a sharp turn for the chain and the bigger one wil afford better wear and less stress on all systems involved.
Will let yall know ASAP how it does for me.

I've got 17/45 on mine and it turns the bike into a real screamer. Instant-on power in any gear and it goes like crazy straight to redline. The only downside is that your revs will be a bit higher and you won't be able to go much faster than 130mph (actual). As long as you don't go much smaller than 17 on the front, the chain shouldn't be too bad off.

Gotta say it really perks the Speedy up!! Do a TON in a couple of heartbeats! (and a few shifts) Now I am really in trouble -the response is almost too quick-gotta get adjusted to a new quickness level!! FUN bike.

Hivel,

Did you recalibrate your speedo? There is probably a 20-25mph error with your current configuration, correct.

Nevertheless it must be even harder keeping that front wheel down on the ground. :-D :-D :-D

I think I will go to the 44 tooth this season.

Thanks for all the input.
