My headlights seem to be pointing down too much. Also, when I watched my son behind me the lights didn't look bright. I assume there is a simple way to adjust the headlights up (other than wheeling). I glanced at it the other day but nothing stood out as adjustable. 2004 model

Got a manual? If so, it's covered in the manual.

If not, it's pretty easy. You'll see on each headlight bucket the bracket that attaches them to the centre piece. If you loosen these, you will be able to point them in a different lateral direction. Make them cross-eyed, etc.

In the centre piece there should be either an allen bolt, or a hex bolt on the top that holds both headlights to the centre (bear with me, this is from memory) in a kind of clamp fashion if you loosen this bolt, you will be able to tilt both headlights up or down, depending on what you need. Remember that they could be tilted too far up, rather than down. This will also cause them to be less bright where you need them.

If they're still not bright enough, replace the lamps with good quality silver/white lamps from Phillips or Narva, but leave them at the standard wattage. Going to a higher wattage may melt the wiring inside the headlight bucket.

Mick

nope, no manual. Seller lost the owners manual, and I haven't had time to look for one.

thanks, for the info. They are definitely pointing down because at night they don't shine out far enough. My night vision is not that great. I was also spoiled by my GL1800 I had. That thing could turn the night into day.

On the '05 +, There are two allen head bolts on the bottom of the center clamping piece. Loosen both, adjust, then tighten to 15NM.
