So I'm rerouting all of the switches on my '06 off of the handlebars (except the horn) and eliminating all wires I don't need--what are the wires coming out of the clutch control for? I assume it's a sensor that permits the bike to be started when the clutch is engaged?

I'll tell you one thing, that switch is hard to put back together after you take it apart--and I lost the stupid spring in it, so I have to find another one now. . .

Just one more thing to protect us from ourselfs. My BMW will start in gear, or with the kickstand down, or any combination thereof. Keeps me on my toes. :-D

yes it is...could you just complete the circuit rather than redoing the switch?

An interlock that only allows the bike to be started when clutch is disengaged. :-D

Short out the connector with a paperclip or similar between the pins to allow you to start temporarily; doesn't need to be left in place after it starts.

I hate this feature. It should be that it will start if the clutch is in OR it is in neutral. I hate having both.
