I know this isn't the Tiger forum, but a number of folks here have asked about an exhaust for Tiger.

I now have a prototype and thought I'd post a shot of it here. The production piece won't have any welds except for the heat shield and mounts for the center stand bumper. Those aren't on in this shot. And I don't even know what it'll cost yet.

Lemme know what you think.

A little more distance between the can and the assplastic.

Also, is it a single sided pipe? if so, maybe a bit bigger. For me it would also have to be shorter then the bikes ass. The correct order for a bike ass when watching from rear to front should be Rear tire | Ass | silencer :-D

Nice job tho!

ps; any idea if you'll ever make a lowmount S3 can?

I was lookin' at a black 1050 Tiger last week and still can't get it outta my head. With pipes? Oh, man.

Three issues I can think of - first, the can looks a little short. I'm assuming that's the same one used on the S3, but it seems undersized with the longer saddle and bodywork at the rear of the Tiger.

Second, any way you can make a smoother bend a bit tighter up there behind the passenger peg? It's kinda hard to tell what kind of space you have to work with there, but if it could be tucked, it might look cleaner.

Finally, would it still work with the saddlebags (since yours run cooler, it might work better)?

The silencer needs to be bigger for Tiger. Sculpt it around the naked ass like you obviously did with Speedy. You can't really go wrong like that. The pic shows that the same silencer as in speedy just won't work.

Personally, I think it makes the Tiger a bit more of an attractive prospect.

Just curious, but isn't that the same can you use on the S3? Also, IMO, the can could be moved down the pipe about 4 inches and the pipe bend cleaned up as R100Pilot indicated.

Okay, here's some answers, in no particular order.

I think I need more pictures cuz I don't remember it looking that small. I was working out of the moto shop space I borrowed and besides myself and the owner there were about 4 or 5 other motoheads around and they all liked it.

I might be able to move it forward a little. I just don't want it to interfere with the pillion. Could give "Blow it out your arse" a whole new meaning.

Any HP numbers I throw out would be a wild guess. But certainly as much as you'd get with anybody else's slip-on. Power to weight and low speed maneuvering you'll get some help though. I didn't have a scale, but I'd guess there's a 12-15 lb savings.

You can't tell from the shot, but the reason the pipe has that double bend in it is because if I ran it straight back like R100 showed, it would actually run into the peg. Even if I dropped it down so it would clear, it would kind of roast the pillions ankle.

As for the bags, the owner thought that there would now be enough room to install a bag without the cutout for the pipe.

Maybe I should just ceramic coat it black. Then the pipe would fade out a little. But that's expensive.

Keep the comments coming--I like it!

Looks much better than the stock cans, may need to be a little more meaty though. Nice work!
