This is my first summer with my '06 Speed triple and I'm looking forward to a nice summer of riding but I have recently started dating again and it's been a while since I rode a passenger on any bike. So I was wondering is there sum stuff I need to know about S3 and passengers? Also are they comfortable for the passengers? thanks Guys

Several passengers of mine have liked the accomodations. The seat slopes foreward, but there is not much seat there. Just hold the bike steady, let her use one peg like a sep to get on, and make sure she is always ready when you leave a stop. Oh, and HOLD ON!

Just got my '07 S3 a few weeks ago. My girlfriend has ridden with me about 200 of the 300 miles I've put on it so far. She finds the seat quite uncomfortable after about an hour, and her bum gets sore. From my perspective, the smallish, slippery seat means she's forced against me quite a bit which reduces my ability to maneuver in the saddle. And of course, the bike is a little more unweildy with an extra 100 pounds or so on it. I'd take it slow until you see how the bike's handling changes. As stated above, tell her to hold on when starting out. :wow:

Personally I find having an uncomfortable passenger seat to be a good thing. I find having my seat cowl on and my passenger pegs off to be an even better thing.

The Sargent seat on my bike has made my better half much more eager to go for a ride. The design is such to give them more room, free some up for you, and is just more comfortable all around.

Technically, you can ride a passenger on the S3 , but I don't think it would be comfortable for any kind of lengthy ride. There is not much space and the passenger pegs are pretty high. A buddy of mine ran out of gas on a recent ride and I had to give him a lift. He'll probably never live this one down. See for yourself...

my ex used to love it, thought it was more comfortable than the bonneville, but her knees would hurt after a few hours...
