I am going to buy one of the two. Has anyone ridden both?
Looking for a interstate, around town, and track bike. Take long rides to Deals Gap, ride around town , and need something that will hold it's own on the track.

I have a couple of other bikes, but none of them do it all and I'm thinking one of these bikes will.

Get the speedy and spend the extra 5k on parts, ie Chain Reaction pipes, tuneboy, etc then smoke the sr4s even more :-D

I've had a lot of different motorcycles in my life. I'm thinking the speedy's the best of them all.

I also recently had it narrowed down to those two bikes - based on looks alone I woulda bought the S3. I test rode both. To me the Ducati seemed somewhat "diminished" compared to the Triumph, so I bought the '07 S3 (in black). Got just 250 miles on it and I love the beast. I was back at the dealer yesterday and for kicks looked at the Ducati again. Gotta say I'd choose the S3 all over again in a heartbeat. :-D

You are asking a S3 croud so all our answers will be bias. If you ask a ducuti board they will say buy the duc. So it comes down to withch bike do you like better. If you like the ducati better buy that. Just dont ever come back here again or we will beat you to a pulp. But if you buy the S3 you can wreck havok with us. I am just kidding. Both are great bikes i would love a duc but like the S3 better. Also ducati's service intervals have gotten better almost half what they used to be but i would still look into that first. I guarantee the S3 will be a lot less to keep up on. Plus you have got to hear these things with a custom pipe on. Think angry F1 car.
