I wish I had the luck most of you guys have when checking valves. I found all Ex valves at the limit .15mm so I'm not leaving them there , I will re shim for .20 and hope at 24K they are still OK.

And 4 In valves at .06 and 2 at near 0 , luckily the 2.70 shims in the Ex will take care of the 4 In valves .

But I still end up needing 8 2.65mm shims @ $7 a pop. I guess I am lucky that we have 2 triumph shops in the area as One has 7 the other has 3 of them.

I don't know about the 97s, but the shims, I think are the same 25m on the T300s. These are pretty common. You could probably get cheaper at a Japanesse make dealer or even used shims- just mic them.

Wow, isn't the EX spec .30 to .20? and intake .10-.20 ? I forgot already, My Ex were all at .30, since they tend to tighten, I just left em there.
I paid $8 for my two shims. Now I gotta adjust the headstock bearing and lube the rear wheel bearing.

Pretty sure Yamaha shims work, and they're half the cost.
