Does the dual underseat exhaust on the '05-'07(stock/aftermarket duals) sound different than a 3 into 1 low mount exhaust? There aren't many S3s in my area, and I'm just curious. Any sound clips?

My new S3 came with the Arrow "Triumph" low mount full system installed--which I wouldn't trade for anything in terms of looks, sound, or weight. As I look at the stock exhaust bubble wrapped in my garage, I just wonder...

Regards,

Karl

The speedy I test rode had the twin Jardine carbon can setup. I decided to go with the arrow full TI single pipe. The sound is very different between the two. The stock exhaust sounds fine... until you hear what an aftermarket pipe sounds like. I love the sound of the arrow and am greatfull that I stuck with it while it was on back order. There were many times that I was just about to cancel the order and go with the M4. I'm only keeping my stock pipes incase Cali decides to make motorcycles eligable for smog checks... as rumor has it.

Thanks for the feedback, as the other post below also clarifies the similar sound characteristic between a twin underseat pipe and low mount--obviously the aftermarket Arrows (love 'em) and Zard single pipes are louder.

I had to ask, as it seems that the underseat exhaust is purely an aesthetic--vs. sound or performance related.

What under seat exhaust? the stockers are not underseat. Chainreaction are not under seat, wolf, blueflame, arrows, etc are not under seat. One thing they all have in common is they are very quiet and reduce HP by 78.9% :hammer:

Once you open the exhaust up the base sound is kind of the same, but the pitch and fullness vary greatly from one exhaust to another. So much so, there is a huge difference that can only be herd if you put your ear right up edge of the exhaust pipe and yhen start the motor. If you don't hear a difference then more than likely your deaf.
