Not a bad first time out for Triumph.
200 miles - 68 laps
Four Kawis in the race - 1st, 2nd, 12th and 17th
Twelve Suzukis - 3rd, 7th scattered on down
One Honda (out of 9) in the top ten (6th) (fuel problems!)
Five Yamahas (out of 27!) in the top ten
Two Daytona 675s (25th and 42nd) 5 & 8 laps back, running.
Two Ducati 749s (23rd and 52nd)
Two Buells (46th and 57th)
Considering first year out, only two bikes qualified, field of 58, I think Triumph can be proud of this private effort. :-D
Congratulations to Steve Rapp and Ben Attard for their 1, 2 non-factory effort at Daytona!
