Buying 04?

Sure some of this has been covered, but saw an 04 Triple today that really wants to come live with me.

Price seems about right, but only has about 3500 miles on her. Good, or maybe bad. Anything to be looking for mechanically?

Also, the dealer is one of those huge motorcycle wharehouse type jobs with hundreds of bikes. Also maybe Good or Bad (Probably bad).

Any info appreciated, and look forward to contributing.

There's not too much to look out for with these bikes. Start her up and listen. Make sure all sounds good. Take her for a ride. Make sure she tracks true. Check the fork seals and make sure they aren't leaking from some previous hooliganism. Otherwise, just do a general inspection around the engine area before and after the ride (no leaky gaskets, check the oil coloration, etc).

There were no lemon batches with these bikes (like some of the 05+ with brake issues), so again, there is not much to look out for.
