My 02 started dribbling from the head gasket at the RHS front (where there is a bit of gasket showing through)
Anyone had any experience of how many labour hours are required to get to it (the manual says the engine has to come out)?? Has anyone ever attempted to take out the engine themselves? All sounds expensive!!

Yep Mine too!
Its in the shop right now GGGRRRRRR!!!!!!

Just called the shop and they don't know why they are going to open her up and get back to me!

mine started after i hit the 130mph mark on mine checked it out in the am before the ride and it wasn't there then when we got to our rest stop it was.

I think its just from a pressure build up in the crank case. And the leak is more of an ooze than a leak

I know its not much help but I feel your pain

Yes, now that you mentioned your 130, I realised that just before I got home and found the dribble (you're right, it's not really a "leak") I has revved out to almost red-line. Does that mean that even if we fix our bikes, they are always going to "blow" under pressure??

Just curious - whereabouts on the head did yours leak. Mine started on RHS front corner (just where the extra bit of gasket sticks out!).

mines leaking in the same spot.
i think that bit of filter might be acting like the wick in a kerosene lamp and pulling it out too.
