I know this is a dup subject however I would appreciate everyones feedback on what they recommend. First of the commute will be around 90 miles daily so I'll need something to keep me dry if I get "caught out in the rain". What gear do you recommend?I'll need everything as I currently have zilch. Also what other little devices does everyone use when raining such as squeegees on there gloves anti fog for the helmet shield etc, etc? Appreciate the help.

my aerostich roadcrafter is a sweet, sweet one piece. although after 90 miles some sites are saying the zipper may leak a little in the crotch, but some say it doesn't. i've never ridden in severe weather for more the 25 miles but i've never gotten wet! it's also been around forever and there are thousands of riders who live by them.

+1 on the Aerostich 1-piece Roadcrafter. It's the best all round piece of gear money can buy. I've been riding in one for over 5 years. Aerostich Roadcrafter

If you're looking for a light weight, water tight rain suit that breathes and folds to almost nothing, get Frogg Toggs. The Pro Action suit is a great motorcycle suit.

I rode through torrential rain from central VT to my house in CT wearing Frogg Toggs a couple years ago, and my leathers were dry when I got home. Great, packable wet weather gear.

I'm taking a different approach sine I hate rain suites and would not want to pack it along anyway.

I got these gloves with the thought if they do get real soaking wet I can dry them out with my boot dryer at night.

Cold Front, breathable and waterproof carbon glove. I know they wont be 100% water proof and I'm good with that.

I ordered the Tornado II jacket made by Triumph from the 50% off place (still don't have it yet) as my every day rain or shine jacket.

I will be wearing my technical outer wear hiking pants that are fleece lined and water proof.
This is the only thing I will need to pack in my tank bag unless it is already raining in the morning or on the way home.

I have dress shoes at my desk for work so wearing hiking boots on the bike in and out wet or not will not be a big deal.
Mine happen to be very water proof and can handle 3 straight days of hiking in snow with no issues.

I'm still looking for that perfect tank bag, not too big and not too small. anyone???

I will be doing about 90 miles round trip into Boston and back to NH for 8 months out of the year starting April 1st, wish me luck!

Excellent I'll see if I can locate someone who sells frogg toggs locally.

Now what about gloves? Keep in mind that I will be needing this equipment over the summer here in Houston so it needs to be comfy as possible to wear in the heat.
