The weather was showery and the welsh roads muddy and slippery. I tried the Tiger first and it was very impressive. Compared to my 05 it is better in every respect and maybe even comfier, and mine is very comfy. Then it was the S3. Sitting on the bike it is immediately a more aggressive stance.I noted that my old legs were aching just a little.Last time I tried an 05 S3 I had a Daytona so the S3 felt great.Having got used to the Tiger I was surprised how sporty the S3 felt. And then I opened the throttle. I had also forgotten how much fun this bike is.It has everything - acceleration and the engine noise combined with the riding stance mean that you just can't help being a hooligan, even in less than ideal conditions. So I'm faced with the dilemma. The Tiger would be a good step up for me from the existing model and would allow me to ride solo with the lads and tour 2 up. If I go with the S3 then I wil need to keep the Tiger for touring duties as well. I think I'll go for another test run when the weather is warmer and drier so as to properly exploit the performance. Deep down I know that only the S3 will give me the permanent grin.

Get the S3. In about a third of a minute, you will forget you own any other bike.

i think the tigger looks kind-of weird, with its U shaped seat and everything... i respect the benefits of the wind screen, but you don't need it. not my cup of tea.

Uh... so the choice is either one new Tiger, or a new S3 and keep the old Tiger?

Two bikes are better than one - get the S3.
