Smog Equiptment?

I have a California model '00 s3,complete with tons of smog equiptment.I'd like to get rid of all of it ,but dont know how this might affect the ecu.Have a power commander and a Remus can waiting to go on too.Any advise will be greatly appreciated.Cheers

Can't speak for the S3 but I removed all the CA rubbish from my S4's (2 of them) with no problems.

forgive my ignorance, but what is smog equipment?

Secondary air injection, carbon canister filters and about 3 miles of hose.

Did I miss any parts?

Thanks for the info.I'm going to bin the lot of it and see what happens.I figure "naked Bike" implies a bike stripped of all the non-essential bits,not just a bike without plastic wrap.Cheers
