Uh... Is there anything remotely streetfighter-ish about that? Seriously? What in blue hell makes 'em think this is a streetfighter? But I do smell a trend coming on.

So far the only one who's gotten it right is Russell Mitchell.
Quote from the link: "...create a bike that would look like no other production motorcycle and be incredibly fun to ride. The result is a true statement in modern motorcycle design."
"Looks like no other"? Just like one squirrel looks different from the next, I guess. "Incredibly fun to ride"? Riding on snow tires with case covers that look heavier than my bike...ooo yeah, baby! "Modern motorcycle design"...oh yeah, nothing says modern like a hardtail.
This is the only V-twin I ever thought of as a performance bike. A friend of mine has one similar to this one and straight line it will give anything out there a good run. Motor is 120ci merch and is smooth and quiet. Always made me question why Harley still builds motors that shake your teeth out.
I read somewhere, and I guess it makes sense, that the guys in the 40s and 50s (or earlier) that bobbed bikes, really were the first naked bike, hooligan style riders. They weren't chopping their bikes for looks, they were chopping for performance gains.
For some reason, maybe the above, I've always liked bobbers, but not modern choppers. There is an Asian guy on the westcoast that's been a featured builder in those coffee table books on bikes. His work looks like bobbed rat bikes. His motto is "it should roll up and look like it'll puke oil all over the place, but doesn't". His stuff is so cool. Ugly, but cool. Does anyone know his name? I can't find it, but would like to throw a pic in this thread of a very cool rendition of what early bobber/rat bikes looked like, cause they are our ancestors.
Seen it Chuck, but there's nothing about it that says "streetfighter" to me. Don't get me wrong, I'd take that for a ride before most HDs, but I would never lay down hard-earned money for it.
The Exile bike is OK but I like Roland Sands No Regrets more, in fact I like all his stuff!!
The KRV5 bike is just
Jesse Rooke's KTM powered scoot is pretty ***** hot aswell!
Probably the best thing is that these guys aren't brainwashed that they must use "American V-Twin" power to build a bike.. :hammer:
I fail to see any other difference to the average vanilla HD than the aluminium fin on the rear fender + the thermos bottle on the left for granpa's chicken soup, that he can enjoy on his sunday ride-out.
Umm, I know I bag HDs a fair bit, but I actually think most of the cruisers and the minimalist choppers have a lot of style in their design.
They also work well with the US style highways and the long wheel base works on lots of road surfaces. Sports bikes they are not.
That said the XR1200 is the ugliest thing I have seen since cheap's cousin lifted her skirts at Thanksgiving.
