I am ordering the Rizoma Conical bars and risers.

I just can't decide whether or not to go for the 40mm, which is lower than stock, or the 60mm (must be fairly close to stock).

I'm pretty short (~5'4"), and I'm comfy with the stock reach.

I've installed a Hagon short shock in the rear, so the rear is 50mm lower than stock. Front end is stock.

At the moment I'm inclined towards the 40mm. I'm worried that with the lowered rear end, and higher risers I'll feel like i'm on a chopper...

However I may consider the 60mm if they're better suited to short riders. Would I need longer break lines to take the 60mm risers?

Any reason why I should avoid the 40mm? I notice a few people have fitted them and are happy. Are there any that have fitted them and sorry they didn't get the 60mm?

Thanks,
Jonty

I've recently fitted them on mine and got the 40mm risers (they sent me the wrong color but I'm too lazy to send 'em back), they look and feel good to me.

Unfortunately I havent been able to take them on a ride to feel the change as the weather has taken a serious turn for the worse around these parts but from just sitting on the bike you do feel and see the difference when compared with the stock riser height but it really isnt that significant.

I'm 6'4" so my ergonomic relationship with the bike is likely quite different than yours, but I think shorter riders than myself fit the bike nicely once in motion, I would suspect that like me the lower risers will allow just a smidge more forward cant and weight orientation over the front end which I think helps with knowing what the front end is doing.

The bars also look fantastic.

Thanks, for the feedback.

I've ordered the 40mm, so I'll know soon enough...

Now I may need to get a set of rearsets to go with the more sporty position

I used the 40mm and had to put spacers under them so I could turn the bars to full lock without hitting the tank.

I'm 5'6", I need to get a taller bar to get some weight off my wrists, I ride a supermoto and enjoy the upright seating position much more than the aggressive over the tank ride... I'm also 50 years old, That may have a little to do with my preference.

Just fitted the hugger.

Took about 10 minutes to remove the old chain guard, and fit the carbon hugger and chain guard. Everything lines up perfectly. Shift-Tech does an awesome job :-D

Good thing I have small hands though, it's a bit tight in there, with the bike being lowered and all

...oh the nut and bolt(s) Rizoma supplied were waaay toooo long to fit on the bike, I had to use the original riser nut and bolt...I never needed spacers at all for anything and have no clearance issues to speak of at all so I dunno..

I had trouble with the switch gear hitting the tank.
