After all the build-up, lookin' for a bike, waitin' while I save to afford tires, waitin' to afford sliders, waitin' to afford leathers, it's lookin' like I'm finally gonna make it to the track with the TT this month.

Gotta admit, I'm probably more nervous than excited. So I was wonderin' what kinda things I should know/take/prepare for?

Not the obvious, like WEAR YOUR HELMET AND DON'T FALL DOWN. But for those of you who've done it, what kinda li'l tips or tricks do you wish you'd known the first time out? You know, stuff they don't tell you on the web site (which covers most bike prep, etc.) or on the novice intro.

I don't know what they put on the site for prep, but most want taped lights, light fuse pulled, and a specific coolant - Engine Ice, etc.

Take a few cans of gas (if allowed) and plenty of wipes/rags/shop towels to clean up any spilled fuel, oil, etc.

A small cooler of bottled water is nice to have.

Put a small note in you leathers pocket for NOK and contact info - with blood type.

Take a small tool kit and a roll of duct tape and electrical tape.

Lots more, but you get the idea.

I run my tyre pressures at 30psi front and rear.Look around the corner not in front of your bike. The speeds you may be travelling at it is best to try and do your braking before the corner where as you might notice Rossi is stillbraking as he's leant over but they are obviously carrying a lot more speed.Get of the bike a bit so you can keep as much of the tyre on the black stuff as you can. Most of all have fun and look out for wankers. :-D :hammer:

I see you live in Florida, Are you going to JenningsGP?

If you get there the night before, you can get a cement pad to set up on.
You can camp or spend the night at Lake city hotel for $35. a night

Bicycle tire pump- Tire pressures, 30 psi front ~ 28 psi rear works great on the S3
Front and rear stands
10 X 10 or 12 X 12 conopy - bigger the better
Floor fan for drying out your helmet, the kind you can point straight up and put your helmet on... Especially in the Summer
Another fan for you.
An electric splitter, You usually only get one plug., Or, Bring a small generator.
Cooler with ice, Water, fruit, Power Bars.
Tools.
Change your radiator fluid to Engine ice or Water wetter.
Do NOT use Electric black tape or duct tape for lights and blinkers.
Duct tape wheel balance weights.
Ear plugs...You will be nervous enough, They will keep you from getting so spooked when someone stuffs or passes you.
Under armor, So your leathers don't get so smelly "I get a walmart version -cheap"

The track is well marked with corner markers and brake markers
If you can afford it, Take the Ed Bargy class. It will make the whole experience much more fun, Instead of spending the whole day wondering if your doing it right, You will spend the whole day perfecting your lines, Braking and body position.

When do you plan on going?
I may be able to meet you there, I've been wanting to run my supermoto out there and stomp some 600s... they may pass me on the straights... But, I own the corners.
