Just got my gsg head light / instrument bracket in and need to remove the back of the speedometer it is a plastic peice and is held on by?????? Does it snap off? Will I break it if I try? That is what I usually do. So i figured i'd save myself ordering the part i will proubly break and ask if any one knows how to do it.

Yeah, I'm the same way. I usually break stuff trying to get it apart.

It just pulls off. It's just a couple of plastic pieces that fit into rubber plugs, so I think the worst you'd do is pull out the rubber plugs, which you could just put back in. If you're still worried about breaking it, just pull it off slowly.
