I heard from the man!!!!

He says he's shipping me some in black next week. We'll see where that puts us. It looks like there might be an 8 spoke rear and 5 front, or ????

I think I now have more questions than I did before. And I still don't have pricing. I hesitated even post this, but I wanted ya'll to know there was at least some news.

I'll post more as soon as I know

Yes I noticed the different spoke set up also. Thats a mistake in my my mind. Need to look the same pattern IMO.
I am sure that the design was to make the single sided rear stronger while keeping the front as light as possible but its put me off a bit on looks. We will see if it grows on me.
Let us know on that pricing.

There are actually two things: the "spokes" are Y shaped, with the straight section at the hub and then splitting to the rim.

The first issue is that the pictures show a rear wheel with 8 Y's. or spokes. The front appears to have only 5 spokes (Y's). That may look a little funny asthetically....or not. I'm not sure. given that the front rotors and brakes cover so much, it may actually kind of balance out. I really can't say until I can see both together on the bike.

The 2nd issue is that the shape or configuration of the Y's themselves appears to be different. Type a capital "I" in Arial font, and then in Times Roman and you will see what the difference is in the cross sectional shape. In other words, what you would see if you sawed through the spoke and looked at the end.

Again, its hard to say how that will look visually. I tend to agree with Dobieman. My gut tells me it will look a bit "off". However, because one is single sided, or asymetric, and the other is symetric, it may actually look "right". I just don't know.

The whole discussion will be moot of course if it turns out that he's just showing two different options. I sent him an email last night asking for clarification on this issue.

I DID get pricing but I'm waiting to hear back from him on whether he objects to me discounting them for you guys. Retail is 1640/pair. I want to sell them to you all for 1475+shipping+tax (in CA). But I need his okay and a minimum "group" of say 6.

I'll chime in as soon as I know the deal.

I'm in Vegas waiting for a phone call to go meet the guy who's building my EFI module. it will be similar to Tuneboy but sell for around $300. It'll ship with the tune for my pipes on the S3.

Drove for a couple hours in snow storm towing my baby in an open trailer. Salty, freezing, muck. She looked like POO. She was really upset. But I had to tell her that there just wasn't enough room for her AND my S3 IN the car. hahahaha

As much as I would love a lighter wheel, these may wind up looking to "odd" front to rear.

Here's the latest....and maybe last....on the Carozzarrias.

Turns out they are what you see. Meaning they are different front to rear. That bums me because its just not right, no matter what the price.

I got into this business because I wanted to make a pipe for myself and thought a few others might be interested as well. Now I'm looking at other products that all have one thing in common--I WANT them on MY bike. That's the criteria for me to consider a new product--It has to be something I'm not just willing to use, it has to be something I lust after. And if I don't feel that way about it I know you won't either.

I REALLY, REALLY want lighter wheels, but they gotta pass the lust test. That means neither I or and of my customers can ever look at one of my products on their bike and wish they'd bought the other guy's.

So, I think I've gotta look for a differnt option.

I can still get them if anyone really wants them and I can do it for the $1475 price.

It seems OZ don't make bike wheels anymore. That leaves Marchesini PVM and Galespeed. Any others?
