-Motor that is totaled no matter how slow you're going when you lowside on the track. (I was right behind a Guzzi rider when he lowsided in front of me at Mid-Ohio and he didn't want to talk about how much his repair bill would be, IF it wouldn't be a total loss)

-Bodywork that looks like it was copied off the BMW K1200...

-standard forks coated black

The shape and design of the bike just doesn't click for me. There are some Guzzis I like, but most of them I just don't understand.

Nah, I'd buy an XB12S before a bike that has the motor hanging out like that. I ride my bikes too hard to risk such a liability.

i hate how the motor is on those bikes. i like the v twin to be rotated 90 degrees like the other bikes. V twins cant stand up to inline motors overall IMO.

I do kinda like the bike but just as much as i like any bike.

I chose speedy because the bike is totally back to basics. No funky plastic pieces everywhere covering goodies, nothing on the bike that resembles toys and only good / high quality components. Total no nonsense high quality fun bike.

This guzzi doesnt look that way.

Weird enough, the best looking motorcycle ever imo is a Moto Guzzi model, the MGS-01.

No matter what i thought of the rest of the bike, shaft drive ruins it.

kwajazz, funny how the "target" audience can make a big difference in the thumbs up or down on a product. I think the S3 looks are "similar", but a very different bottom line. No comparison, I like Guzzis and I am really a twin fan in general. Regardless of all other plastic or bits, the Triple is the soul of a totally unique bike in the S3.

I read some of the negative comments with interest. Cheap components? I think Brembo brakes are almost up to the standard Triumph has (how many threads on mushy Brembo's??) and I'm pretty sure I have heard of one or two motors being built in various "V' configurations that have withstood the test of time as have a few in line (like Rolls Royce aircraft engines etc., etc.). Shaft drive or belt has a draw for many "real world" riders, but again I don't think it has a chance against chain drive for the S3 owner. BMW owner, yes, new Tiger or possibly Sprint, strong "maybe" in MHO.

I just hope Guzzi makes it, they're recovering from many changes of ownership, financial support, Quality Control, Dealer network loss etc. Variety is good for the sport and bad for your wallet.

Cheers! :chug:
