I found a heck of a deal on a used Remington 870 Wingmaster 20 gauge. Its in good shape and came with a rifled barrel and scope, and a smooth bore barrel. Im going to be using it mostly for shooting trap and skeet, but I also hunt pheasant quite a bit. I'm just happy to finally own my own gun and not have to borrow my old man's anymore. :-D :-D :-D :-D

I'm jealous of you guys over the pond,I've always loved shooting but owning a gun in the middle of London is a no no, Legally anyway.

I used to live in a crappy part of town, and had a great home protection gun. It was a winchester model 1300 tactical 12 ga. Scary looking, had dual pistol grips and a short barrel. Fun to shoot, it had a trigger that you could hold and pump the shotgun to fire it. BLAMBLAMBLAMBLAM!!!
I traded that at a gun show for a .45 ruger auto, that was confiscated by the secret service. (looong story)

Confucius says that if gun ownership is criminalised then only criminals will have guns. UK seems a prime example of this adage after the Dunblane clampdown.

Uhh nice topic.

I have:

Mossberg 835 ultimag, used mostly for turkey.
Marlin 30-30, used for hogs, deer, and coyotes.
Ruger 10/22 (in pieces)
AR-15 (Bushmaster lower, with an Olympic Arms SUM 16" upper, helluva accurate) used mostly for target and nasty coyotes

Walther P99 .40 used for home protection and hog hunting.

Guvnor, my sister is on the TCU rifle team. Not too far from you I believe... She has the control for target competition, I just like to shoot moving things. :-D

I used to have an 870 when I was little. I had the youth model; it worked well. Now, I have: Benelli Super Black Eagle 2 12 gauge, Husqvarna 30-06 with Leopold scope, Husqvarna 30-06 with out a scope, Marlin 22 mag with Leopold (gift), Winchester 30-30, and a Hekler & Koch .45 auto. I use my Benelli the most. I enjoy the Huskies the most. People around me get the most nervous when I pull out my HK. I owned a series of Glock products until I bought a .45 GAP, and I swore I would never buy another one. In my opinion a shot gun is the most practical and most likely to be used. The Remington 870 is a good model; not too fancy, but very functional.
