This thread got a little messy. That factory rep guy said only 10% of his work is warranty, so he is definately not with Ford or GM or Dodge or Mitsubishi.
I have worked in the auto field for 20 years as well and have delt with many factory reps. Usually good guys, I don't know what set this clown off about the brake thing, but the automotive industry and the powersports industry definatelly do NOT have many paralells.
There is NO way an automotive braking system, that has crappy pedal feel and a tendancy collect air in the system would be allowed on the road. The DOT would definately force the company to FIX the problem and deal with any problems caused by it. Most recalls, especially on American cars are the direct result of the government getting involved. I don't think Ford or GM have ever started a recall on there own accord.

A HYDROLIC SYSTEM THAT COLLECTS AIR IN IT HAS A PROBLEM

As soon as an S3 plows through a school yard because the brake lever traveled all the way to the grip without stopping there will be a fix.
