I spent the weekend following the owners manual and trying different suspension setting. I found the standard to be right or at least as close as I can tell. I bike was not set to standard from the dealer. The rear was just 1/2 of the base, I had to adjust seems better. I should also state the bike is brand new, only 150 miles.

Does anyone out there have any input about this?

I'm 74" and 205lbs, mostly highway, but will get into the twisties when ever I can.

Also does the drive line loosen up at all? Gear selector notchy.

If you have something that worked for please let me know.

Thanks

I ended up going to the stiffer settings per the manual after my first checkup at 1000 miles. The bike loosened up a bit per the gearing and I currently use it to commute when the northcountry weather allows. The ride will be a bit firmer and helps the bike carve thru the corners better than the stock settings. My dealer didn't help with set up either and I just re adjusted the levers and bars to suit me and my riding style. Once the bike wears in a bit you'll notice the change in the shifting and also going to the full synthetic helps but definately not in the wallet area, just a bit expensive but well worth it. Since the change to synthetic I've also noticed it runs a bit cooler but once the warranty is up I'm going to try some engine ice or water wetter to further lower the temps since stoplights really jump the temp up. Hope this helps out.

Thanks.

I've rode sevral times this week on the changed settings. More comfy on the HWY, but will go to the stiff settings this coming weekend and try next week.
