S3 engine vs sprint engine

Are the engines the same out of the 955i speed triple and the 955i sprint? I found a sprint motor on ebay for 600 bucks, and my motor outta my 2001 is fubar. Are they tuned differently at all?

I believe that they are tuned the same. I'm not sure about the cams. What's the mileage on the ebay motor?

For 250 bucks who cares? I'd use it and forget it. Money talks here in Texas, and 250 for a good motor is cheap enough. That's my opinion, which is off topic...
