how do you remove a stripped bar end? the mirror that is attach to it is useless due to the fact that once I start riding, the wind blows the mirror down, and the bar end refuses to come off..

any tips?

Tap the end where the screw is with a hammer, should loosen up.

Loosen the screw about 1/4 inch then tap the screw.

That will loosen the bar end.

There is a tapered, wedge affair that gets tight when you tighten the screw. Loosened the screw quite a bit then tap it in. This will disengage the taper and you shoud be able to withdraw the keeper inside the bar. If possible, after the screw is loose reach inside the bar with a screw driver and pry directly on the keeper. If you pull out on the screw it has the same effect as tightening it and will make it hard to get out.
