I noticed in a Comparison Article between the Tuono and S3 in the Motorcycle Consumer News publication, that they mentioned a performance chip addon (page 15, I think) was available.

I haven't been able to find any info on this. Anyone know anything? :???:

I can't find any reference to a chip in the article? I know the S3 uses uploaded tunes, not a chip...I can't speak for the Tuono.

I noticed on ebay yesterday(31st july) there was a 'German Performance Chip' for sale, I had made a simple Triumph Speed Triple search, perhaps it was - Triumph Daytona - but either way there it was, $49 was the current bid ! Share & Enjoy!

Hi
Not sure if they still are but German bikes used to be restricted to 100bhp, so maybe the chip gets over this restriction on older bikes??? Just a thought. I think that Swiz bikes are even more restricted (or used to be) I remember seeing an article about ZZR100 (ZX11 in the States) saying that the Carb slides could only raise a quarter of the full travel, not sure what the BHP limit was but could be as low as 50!!!!!!
Heath :???:

There is a factory performance chip for the Tuono as well as some aftermarket chips. I rode one with a factory chip and factory race can at the dealer near me. The exhast will deafen you and the chip is not as user friendly as stock for daily use.
