Haynes still hasn't come out with a book on the 1050s and I've heard that the Triumph version isn't much better than the junk owners manual. Does anyone have a lead on a decent shop manual for my bike? Does the Triumph manual at least have wiring schematics?

Thanks

The Triumph Manual does indeed have wiring schematics and from what I have seen, pretty good ones.

I can see there is definitely some stuff "missing" from the Triumph Manual, but it's got more stuff in it than I am capable of doing......that's what Service Contracts are for!

The factory shop manual is good in my opinion. Naturally it is aimed at trained mechanics so it will not explain which way you should turn a bolt to loosen it. Still in my opinion the depth it covers the stuff is just about right for anyone with two thumbs and who can separate a banana from a monkey wrench.

If the price is an issue, you can get it from one of the friendly xerox/cdr pirates hanging on ebay for pennies. Or from someone on this board in PDF format, if you have not got it already.

Just make sure your pirate copy comes with a color coded wiring diagram like the factory version. It would be a major pain to read it in black & white.
