I just rode my new 2001 Speedy back to Bakersfield from Las Vegas. Its neon blue which is quite nice in person i might say. I thought it was ugly in the pics. I got it off this guy for $2500 bucks cause he needed cash. It has 24k miles on it, vance and hines s4 high pipe, new diablo corsa tires, and a recent tuneup/valve adjustment. Its quite a change going from my 67HP, 650lb vintage suzuki (first bike i got for $800) to little ol speedy here. I've reading the posts on this site for a little while now its great to finally join the ranks with a speedy of my own!

You two fools are envious that you didn't get to say hi first. You're probably envious of roulette green triples too.

Great bike, and it sounds like a great first ride. Best of luck, and welcome aboard.

S32K1, I'd really like to say hi and welcome to you, but if I can't be the first one to do it, then why bother?

Thanks for the welcome guys! I was looking at a Ducati monster for awhile (i know) before I sat on a triple. I'm about 6'4" and the speedy fits me rather well actually. I want to get a flyscreen for it but they're rather pricey. Anyone know somebody with one they want to part with????

Welcome to the nut house. :-D

A fly screen for someone 6'4" is called drafting a semi. :-D
