Anyone try these HID xenon headlights from Xsighting Linghting?

Seems to be a complete HID xenon conversion kit, and not just a retrofit of HID parts into the stock headlamps.

The XSighting Lighting Xe5R Twin Pack looks to come with everything needed, but just wondering how it would mount on the stock housing.

Any thoughts?

Their product description.... $795
Same great kit as the Xe5R but in a twin pack. The Xe5R Xenon Bi-Function HID headlamp is an excellent performance upgrade for vehicles originally equipped with 5 ¾” round incandescent or halogen headlamps. The Xe5R utilizes a clear lens and has a traditional appearance and the added performance of Xenon / HID in both low and high beam. The Xe5R Headlamp Kit comes with everything you need to add performance and style to your vehicle. In some vehicles, modification to the light “bucket” may be required to accommodate the Xe5R housing.

Too expensive!

Would be cool though. Bucket modification would definitely be needed.

+1 on way too expensive. Changed my bulbs to Philips Blue Vision or something of the sort. Better lighting for much much less than $795.

On the other hand, I kinda like the look without the buckets. Too bad it would short right away :-D

You could always use the longer buckets off a 1940's Buick - but I doubt you would like the look.

Check the output and temp of the HID kit before you buy it. Some HID conversions are barely brighter than a good set of +50 or +75 bulbs like the Silverstars and the like. AND they tend to use a lot of power.

$800 would buy a lot of goodies: couple o' sets o' tires, pipes and PC, paintwork, leathers. For lights? Unless you just won the lottery, you'd hafta be nuts.

i agree :-D rather spent the $800 on a good set of leathers for the potential track days..

so what's the consensus on getting better lighting? I want to be able to see on a dark road, and not sure if blue bulbs is the solution I am looking for.
