Nice pics Corners. I need a Corners wheelie school. I suck at wheelies...or maybe just too chicken! If it wasn't for the natural tendency of the bike to pull the front wheel up under hard power, I probably couldn't do one. My timing seems to be all off.

Oh, and I still cannot clutch up 3rd to a full on high-stand wheelie. I have jerked, pulled compressed and everything else, I just cannot get it. Maybe it's the Road Attacks. 2nd usually splits around a bit on me, but I can still get it up, 3rd is a no go

Oh, and btw, my post 3k mile review of the Road Attacks, great for ware, they are doing much better than my Pilot Powers, but they do not stick near as well. Last time I said they did, and during the hot summer, they were nearly as good as the PPwrs. But, now that the roads are getting cooler, I can feel em sliding all over the place.

I must be just one big wuss.. I've wheelied in the past (somebody elses bike), I've attended the 'One Wheel' event last year and did pretty good..had a minor offing also though...also..somebody else's bike. Something mental just gets in the way of me doing wheelies with my own bike. I think it has something to do with working hard to pay for it and not wanting to smash it up. I'm actually not concerned about my own physical well being but the bikes and my wallet. It's a bit crazy, once you are comfortable with wheelies it is pretty hard to mess them up and crash but I have a mental block some where. I have done occasional power ups in first gear but I never maintain and carry them, It's up then down. I think I need a beater just for this purpose..

RB85... you aren't alone... I'm with you 100%... Even though the thing comes up pretty easy, it still seems hard on the system and the LAST thing I need to do is loop this bike... OUCH $$$$... It does look really cool though... Envy, envy, envy to Corners and the Hooli-gang... :-D

If you are not comfortable with doing wheelies dont do them, they do hurt when things go wrong. I have to be on the right frame of mind to do a wheelie, (which is like 99% of the time) I also like warmer temperatures, my dexterity is a big factor. It really sucks getting old.

You are right wheelies look good! I love to wheelie!

For what it's worth, I think the first gear wheelies are more dangerous than the 2nds. The bike is more jerky and so less controllable. If you are doing 1sts, then 2nds are more fluid, not less.

Why are there all those videos on YouTube and Putfile of guys bringing down a wheelie, starting a headshake, and crashing? What is it they are doing wrong? How can I avoid my own embarrasing (and painful) moment like that?

I came across this video that gives a good straight forward on how to wheelie. My problem is the thought of $$$$ gowning through my head every time i try.

:-D
