Add me to the list...I was following a guy in a big blue Mercedes 4 door. I was behind him for 5 or 6 miles going south on Hwy 60. Just north of Dahlonega, he starts to pull into a driveway on the right side of the road. Then the doofus does a U turn across 60 and I went left. I hit the front left of the car and took flight. Ground, sky, ground, sky...new Arai...Right knee and shin are HUGE. I have the imprint of the front bumper in my shin. Other than the leg and a scrape on my forehead...I'm OK. Nothing broken, no stitches. I just hurt like hell and the Speed Triple is very bent. I'll post some pics of the gear later...BTW everybody...WEAR YOUR GEAR ON EVERY RIDE....

My sympathies, and good advice on the gear. You can never be too careful, especially when there are cagers about.

Same thing happenned to me in 2004. Take care of your knee. Now I give them an extra 2 seconds and it has saved my life many many times, the sames goes for intersections and oncoming traffic wanting to turn left at the last minute with no signal regardless of wether they see you or not.

Trust nobody. They are all out to get you.

Are you paranoid if they really are out to get you?

Condolences my friend. Been there. Last week. Sucks.

best to you and your bike. i live in a college town and i make sure to leave my pride at home before i mount. i think we should continue to share stories like this every now and then to keep ourselves from becoming lackadasical about alert, patient, and safe riding.
