No, the threads are normal, but you could have checked for yourself simply by looking at the exposed threads.

yeah, i had to use a pipe on top of the 18" breaker bar. what a beatch. the only reason i took the wheel off was to clean all the brake dust and chain lube off. it is a pain with the wheel on the bike. :-D
