Why does Triumph refuse to participate in arguably the biggest motorcycle trade show in North America? Seems to me they would welcome the exposure and a chance to increase sales. I dont get it. Maybe they are just content to playing second and third fiddle to Everybody. Thoughts?

Where I live, they will be doing demos at the local Euro shop during the show. As a member of the local RAT group I will have the priviledge of riding Triumph's bikes all day as a lead/sweep rider. :-D

I noticed that, they were the only ones absent at the show in nyc last year, even bimota was there and I think they only make 7 bikes a year..maybe..

Just another case of them not paying attention to marketing issues I guess. Maybe they can send their marketing people to classes with their customer service folks.

I was disapointed at the Atlanta show last year that Triumph & KTM were both absent. In both cases, local dealers were there with a couple of bikes over in the accessories area. No S3 or KTM 950 though. Of the 4 of us that went, 2 bought new bikes so obviously these shows connect buyers with products.

I haven't been to the Cycle World show for a couple years, but Triumph used to have a display. I stopped going because it seemed like none of the manufacturers were showing bikes I couldn't see any Sunday at Alice's, the local motorcycle hangout.

just maybe, triumph likes to keep things quiet. instead of showing off at shows they like word of mouth. maybe to keep the factory small or something. just guessing. :hammer:

would you like to spend 10 hours a day in the booth going

" NO THE LEVER IS SUPPOSED TO FEEL SQUISHY LIKE THAT "

I know i wouldnt , then you have the vandalism to deal with , people trying to bleed the brakes on the show bikes and such.
