Looks like Aprillia's gettin' serious. Here's the ~$18K Tuono Factory. RSV Factory-based 139 hp twin in a sub-400 lb package (lots of carbon fiber). Ohlins suspension. Brembo brakes. Now if they'd just do somethin' about that paing job.

I respect the fact that they build the bike ground up from quality parts. Too bad it doesn't look very nice. Naked bikes have evolved beyond the "strip your best selling streetbike" concept. Aprilia seem to have missed that and produce ugly bikes.

While I'm sure that thing is a lot of fun to ride, it looks like too futuristic/Transformerish for me. :assim:

I'd like the look if the d*mn thing was painted a solid color and they got rid of that fuggly gold frame. In 10 years that thing is going to look silly.

Aprilia has always had a knack for making their bikes look cobbled together. Interesting that they went for a gold frame. Silly that they didn't include a matching gold swingarm. Blue wheels? I think gold, black, red, or even white would go with the theme better. I guess if you can afford an $18K bike, you can afford another G for paint.
I would still love to ride one, though.

I think they do a black-on-black version. I'd like that with the gold frame. And you could always get rid of that fairing.
