well fellas, I finally got to get out and ride a little Saturday. Had a good time except fer a mishap coming back down the mtn. A friend of mine with his Duc S2r brought another Duc monster friend of his along. 1st time he ever got to ride the roads around my area, and the dreaded squirell spur gravel bit him! Hate it to, he seems like a really nice feller. Anyways, long story short, the guardrail saved his ass! If ya wanna read more about it, check it out here...

Duc monster and guardrail cage match!

scroll down to the last post on the 1st page and read what he has to say about it. Good thing is, he's doing alright, and we got her good enough fer him to ride her home! :-D

They put them things there fer a reason, eh?

Glad he's okay. I saw a guy on a yellow Duc yesterday with what I thought was one o' them helmet mohawks. As I got closer, I realized it was a bathtub rubber duckie that he'd glued on there.

Full ridin' gear an' a rubber duck on his head on a duc. Gotta admire the sense o' humor.

yep, don't know if ya read to page 3, but my buddy put this pic up fer a better view of what the guy was actually look'n at! Lucky feller, sucks to hit a guardrail, but better than the other option!

Based on his blow-by-blow, I'd say he was going a *little* faster than the 15mph that he claims. :-D
Glad he's o.k., if a little sore.

Yeah, it was a tight turn, and i think he was doing the better part of 20-25....but he's not real sure. He didn't lay it down until it was off the road, and to have the bike only half way under the guard rail from about 10 feet from the road, he couldn't been traveling to to fast....

It looked as if he got bit by staring at the rocks in the road, coming into the turn to hot, and just walked it out to the edge, where he hit the gravel shoulder, and just let it slip on out from under him....

Good that he didn't get hurt...and he took the mishap well...other than wanting to kick my tail for taking him up there :-D

Good that the oncoming lane was free.

can't blame him fer that! Some host you are! :hammer: I'm sure he can't wait to get back up there man. That's always the best medicine fer the wound anyways. If at 1st you don't succeed, try, try again! :-D

and btw fellers, how 'bout a nice warm welcome to my Duc riding buddy. We all can't be lucky enough to own a speedy! :-D
