anyone get the new cycle world mag with the 2007 tiger on the front cover? they talk about the new ECU. they say it is the second generation and has double the memory for more maps? i thought it was funny how they said the start time has decreased from 1.5 seconds to 0.4 seconds. who here actually has an 05-06 that starts within 1.5 secs? i know mine doesn't. they also comment about the brakes. it's pretty much the same setup except they use bigger pistons in the calipers. the cycle world editor even mentions the squishy brake feel on the speed triple.

when i'm not feeling so lazy i will write down word for word what is said in the mag and post it on here.

Maybe you should read it again and see where it says they are using to different startup modes depending on whether the motor is warm or cold. This is the biggest change made to improve startup. :2guns:

Sorry mate but mine starts 1.2 to 1.5 secs everyt time. Hot, cold, just thrashed, anything [so far]. Not doubting your hassles, just my luck so far.

I wonder if this second gen ECU is still compatible with TuneBoy or will the 07-> guys have to wait a few years for an updated TuneBoy before they can do custom maps?
