Yeah, I think they won their last match on the word "Switzerland". I believe it went something like this:

Presenter: "Contestant, your next word will be 'Switzerland'"

Contestant: "Uh, could you repeat that please? And use it in a sentence?"

Presenter: "During World War II the Nazi's stashed all of the stolen wealth of their Jewish citizens and neighboring countries in Switerland for safe keeping".

Contestant: "Uh, I wasn't around way back then. Could you give me another example used in a sentence?"

Presenter: "Um, sure. Criminals from around the globe generally store their ill-gotten wealth in banks in Switzerland."

Contestant: "Uhhh... okay. How about in a sentence that has a bit of meaning for me? I'm not quite getting where you're going with those examples. Give me a positive example."

Presenter: "Swiss cheese was invented in Switzerland."

Contestant: "Ohhhh. I like ham and swiss sandwhiches. Switzerland. S-W-I-S-S-E-R-L-A-N-D. Switzerland."

Presenter: "Whatever. You win. I'm going to watch the football game."

No, No, No..

Everyone knows Americans spell Switzerland like: S-W-E-D-E-N..!
Or when I then try to explain where Switzerland IS. You know, it's the country that's surrounded by Germany, France, Italy, Austria.. and the quick response is, AHHH.. AUSTRIALIA..!!! Now I understand where you live..!! really cool, dude..!!

Not half as difficult as trying to explain to Americans where Malta is.
I just reply that it's the country where all Maltese crosses are made.
The bewildered look is then replaced by one of deep understanding.......
